P!nk will headline next year’s Wireless Festival.

The ‘So What’ singer will top the bill at the Hyde Park shindig on Friday 2nd July.

She said: “I am so excited to headline Wireless festival. Hyde Park is such a legendary place to play and I feel so honoured that I am going to be the first female to headline the festival. Hyde Park better get ready for the Funhouse!”

Joining P!nk on the bill will be the Ting Tings, who will also perform on the Friday.

Acts for Saturday and Sunday are set to be announced in the New Year.

In other festival news, Iron Maiden are hotly tipped to be named as headliners of next year’s Sonisphere.

The veteran rockers have a special announcement lined up on the same day as organisers of the festival have revealed that they will be releasing details for the 2010 event.

Hmm … a little more than a coincidence, perhaps?
