Paul Greengrass, the man who directed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, has apparently bailed from the 4th Bourne Identity film. He’s currently putting the finishing touches to his new movie, Green Zone, also with Matt Damon (pictured in that film). It’s not 100% sure why Greengrass has quit his next production, but according to The Playlist, it’s down to money. It’s also claimed that the project is unlikely to happen without Greengrass, because Damon is ‘loyal’ to him. For some, this may be a bit of a relief – many bemoaned the original news of another installment, claiming that the trilogy was so perfectly well-contained that any more Bourne would spoil what had gone before.

However, this is Hollywood we’re talking about here – so never say never…
