Gollum is disappointed the film won't arrive sooner

Guillermo del Toro’s ‘The Hobbit’ is due to begin filming next summer.

Peter Jackson is due to complete the script’s second draft with his Lord of the Rings co-writers in December or January, with a confirmed release date of December 2011.

The book is due to be filmed as a two parter, with the second installment to be released a year later – in December 2012.
