We’re good people at Sound Screen. Sadly, without others like ourselves, we struggle to keep this site updated and fresh. We love to write and want to help you get involved by giving you a decent platform to speak your mind. While we can’t offer fame and fortune, we can certainly foster talent and give you a good reference, should you want to break the notoriously tough journalism market.

Things are going to change in 2011; the website is to become more feature-based and provide an excellent base for comment and opinion, as well as columns. News is everywhere, but there are never enough resources or people willing to stand up and say what they like, hate and more.

Freelance journalists that work for us now and in the past have included those who have, or continue to, work at huge national media outlets like Empire, Loaded, the Daily Telegraph, Metro and the London Paper, all of whom have a lot to say. We’re here because we think there’s a lack of journalism websites that cover film and music news, reviews and features on equal footing. We know it’s annoying having to check lots of bookmarked pages for all the different things you’re into, that’s why we created Sound Screen, to provide one central place for all the stuff you might need to know (and some you don’t, too).
