To celebrate the release of The Soloist, a heart-rending true story about the redemptive power of music, we’ve teamed up with Universal Pictures to give you the chance to win copies of the original book.

Here’s the film deets, if you haven’t come across it yet: journalist Steve Lopez (Oscar® nominee Robert Downey Jr.) discovers Nathaniel Anthony Ayers (Oscar® winner Jamie Foxx), a former classical music prodigy, playing his violin on the streets of L.A. As Lopez endeavours to help the homeless and schizophrenic Ayers, a unique friendship is formed — one that transforms both their lives. The Soloist is directed by Joe Wright, Golden Globe winner and Oscar® nominee for his feature film Atonement.

To celebrate the release of this truly quite beautiful film we’ve been given a whopping ten copies of Steve Lopez’s book of the same name (which inspired the film adaptation) to give away.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply answer the following question:

Which of the following movies did Jamie Foxx NOT star in?

a) Ray
b) Dreamgirls
c) The Taking of Pelham 123

Email your answer along with your name and telephone number to soundscreenfilm@gmail.com by the 25th September to be in with a chance of winning. Good luck!

The Soloist is released in cinemas on 25th September via Universal Pictures
