Jack White to produce new Wanda Jackson album

Jack White: surprisingly dapper in black.
Jack White is going to produce a new album by the legendary Wanda Jackson, according to the 72 year old Oaklahoman rockabilly star.
The White Stripes mainman, who previously produced Loretta Lynn’s Grammy-winner Van Lear Rose in 2004, has invited Jackson to his studio in Nashville, Florida, to begin working on the album.Â
Referring to Van Lear Rose, Jackson said: “They had a super album, but he didn’t have her do anything different, you know. She just did her little Loretta Lynn songs. But he told me he’s gonna stretch me some, so we’ll see. We’ll talk later.
Twenty Four Bit says that a single will precede the album’s release, presumably sometime next year.
