The Empire strikes back: The electro duo won four ARIA awards

Empire of the Sun and AC/DC were among the big winners at the ARIA Australian Music Awards.

The event, which was held in Sydney last night (27th November), saw Empire of the Sun walk away with four gongs.

The electro duo scooped Album of the Year and Best Pop Release – both for Walking on a Dream - and Best Group.

‘Walking on a Dream’ also earned the band the Single of the Year honour.

Meanwhile, after years of leaving empty handed, AC/DC scooped their first-ever ARIA awards.

The success of the high voltage rockers’ Black Ice album saw them take home the Best Rock Album and Highest-Selling Album gongs.
