New Moon is one of the highlights of the Empire BFI Movie Con this weekend

Never-before-seen scenes from The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be shown at the Empire BFI Movie Con II, which takes place this weekend in London.

Along with New Moon footage, which will inevitably be the most popular event of the weekend, E1 Entertainment will also be showing clips from two other upcoming titles Astro Boy and MicMacs.

Previously announced exclusive screenings of The Hurt Locker and Inglourious Basterds will also be taking place. Terry Gilliam will be answering questions about The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Guy Ritchie and Mark Strong will introduce a snippet from Sherlock Holmes and there will also be clips from upcoming Disney films A Christmas Carol and Alice in Wonderland, as well as footage from the newly-3D Toy Story trilogy.

In addition to all of that there will be footage shown that was shown at the San Diego Comic Con last month, though what that will be is being kept under wraps. Watch out for more news as we get it!

Weekend tickets are sold out but some events still have individual tickets available from http://www.bfi.org.uk/whatson/bfi_southbank/events/moviecon_ii_weekend_0.
