Harry Potter, the biggest film of all time?

I'm never going to escape this character, am I?
.. It certainly looks that way! The midnight screenings of the sixth film in the Harry Potter franchise, which took place last night, took in over $22.2 million in the US alone, making it the biggest box-office success of that kind. That’s not even including however much it took in the UK and Europe.
The film beat previous records set by The Dark Knight ($18m), Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith ($17m) and the previous Harry Potter film, Order of the Phoenix, which took in just $12m on opening night.
It is thought now that the Harry Potter franchise will surpass James Bond as the biggest-grossing franchise in film history. James Bond, which ran over 22 films, grossed a total of $5 billion worldwide while Harry Potter, without the record-breaking figures from last night, has already grossed $4.48 billion.
To celebrate the film’s release the lovely people at Warner Bros have also made free screensavers, pictures, clips, ringtones and wallpapers available to fans through http://www.mugglehub.com/?lang=uk
