The first images from the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse were published in American People magazine this week.

Eclipse is the third film in the hugely popular Twilight franchise adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling books. The four Twilight films chronicle a love story between human Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).

Eclipse doesn’t open in the UK til March 2010 but here are a few pictures from the set to whet your appetites. Bear in mind that these are third-degree of separation pictures of pictures, but you can pretty much get the gist. Click individual images to open them up in all their full-size glory.
