Carey Mulligan: moonlights as a Topshop model, I heard

Break out young actress Carey Mulligan has been cast in the upcoming fairytale drama This Beautiful Fantastic, directed by Terry Loane (Mickybo & Me).

Written by Simon Aboud, This Beautiful Fantastic focuses on frustrated children’s author Bella Brown, who only leaves her obsessively ordered flat for work at the library. Chronically shy, she has no friends, no family and no life until she falls in with Billy, a hopelessly messy inventor who whirls through the library’s carefully balanced world like a crazy tornado. Carey’s co-stars include Christopher Eccleston, Mackenzie Crook, Joanna Lumley and Tom Wilkinson.

Although British, the film has been compared to Amélie in style.

The An Education-star is set to have a busy 2010 as she’s also scheduled to shoot Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps opposite Shia LeBeouf. Shooting for This Beautiful Fantastic will start in March on location in Scotland and Germany.
